Mommy was skeptical on why the prices are so good and figured that when the items arrived, the expiration date would be within 6 months as with some other discount stores, but mommy was incredibly pleased to find that that was not the case!

All the items shipped within 24 hours of mommy placing the order and arrived within 4-5 days - all neatly packaged in a box that was the perfect size unlike other companies that use whatever size box they have and use packaging filler. In my personal opinion, this shows that they are eco friendly which we all like and appreciate!

The web site is SO incredibly user friendly and their prices are in most cases cheaper than what my mommy would pay at our local pet stores. On top of all that goodness, if you spend $49 the shipping is free!

At first mommy was worried about being able to find $49 in products that were worth spending the money on - for example...products that she is willing to feed my sisters and i because of our sensitive tummies.

for those of you that follow this bloggy, you are most likely wondering why mommy bought cat treats. Well, i have a good answer for that! Two of our neighbors have cats and so does our daddy. We figured it couldn't hurt to try out the cat products too.

The cats, my sisters, and i all love the treats. and while we re not a fan of Greenies products, mommy prefers the cat pill pockets over the dog pill pockets for giving Godiva her Seizure medication because the cat pill pockets are the PERFECT little size!

The customer service is wonderful as well. if you call the 800 number, a super friendly representative will answer the phone and will spend as much time as you need answerign all your questions and helping with product searches. At no point did mommy feel rushed or pressured.

All in all, my sisters and i give this web site two dewclaws up (multiplied by all three of us).

Last night When my mommy was at Grandma's house she noticed that Princess was not in her usual lounging spot on the sofa...so my mommy went looking for her. Princess was not on the first floor...and she wasn't in either of the bedrooms on the third floor...but when mommy walked into the breakfast area...this is what she found...And you'll notice that Princess is not showing any shame or embarrassment from being caught table lounging. Furkid detectives NEEDED!

So much has happened since our last post so before i tell you all what we need pet detectives for, i want to update you all first.

Lady Godiva is doing very well on her Seizure meds and has been seizure free!

Mommy got really sick and was in and out of Urgent care and the Emergency room with horrible bronchitis that they are treating with the same antibiotics they treat pneumonia with. thankfully, mommy is feeling MUCH better.

My sisters and i spent an entire week in bed with mommy and only left her side to go potty or to eat. here is a photo of us playing nurse to mommyMommy said that the three of us are "bed hogs" and she doesnt understand how a combined weight of 18 pounds of dog can take up SO much room that mommy is left sleeping on the edge...So we reminded mommy of the "Bed Rules" and we even found a diagram so that it was easy for her understand because this bronchitis-buggy that mommy was fighting really left her unable to comprehend very muchMommys last trip to the Urgent care was due to a fever of 102.4 which is normal for us doggys but apparently 98.6 is whats normal for humans. so mommy asked the neighbor to borrow his thermometer and when she went to return it (after cleaning with rubbing alcohol) the neighbor accidentally slammed her finger in the doorwhich of course added to the feeling horrible, relentless coughing, high fever and left mommy on the floor in the kitchen sobbing hysterically while on the phone with our grandma. finally mommy mustered up the strength to drive herself back to Urgent care to get the fever under control. Keep in mind that 3 hours earlier mommy fainted when she got out of the shower and awoke to me and my sisters licking the shower water off her legs. Hey...we had to wake her up somehow!

So mommy gets to urgent care and they are freaking out on her and left the blood pressure cuff on her because they had to keep checking her blood pressure...the blood pressure cuff and machine were not nice to mommy and this is what it looked like after the first four blood pressure checksby the next morning, it was all blue with purple spots :( Poor mommys arm! After lung x-rays (no pnemonia or blood clots thank goodness), EKG (showed normal), blood work, and FINALLY a breathing treatment, they sent mommy home with antibiotics and ANOTHER cough syrup!

Now Godiva is acting like a babyMommy keeps telling her "Peanut, stop being so cute...its distracting!" really though...look at this face!While mommy was recovering quickly once she was given the antibiotics...she was feeling well enough to make some roses out of duct-tape we also got lots of quality time snuggling with mommyand before you ask...yes, out of the entire queen size bed, our favorite place is right on top of mommy!

To help mommy get better fast, we have made sure that we have been very good girls and minded our manners. Especially during dinner time when we would much rather be begging for food, instead we have not needed to be reminded that we are supposed to wait patiently in our bed till the human dinner time is over.Now...Here's where my sisters and i need your Detective skills help:

There has been lots of talk with "Grandma" and odd things are happening in our apartment! bags are getting filled with stuffs...Here is a photo of Godiva who has got to be the nosiest dog in the world inspecting the contents of a bag that was in the middle of being packed with stuffsCan you see her little rump peeking out of the bag? here is a better pic of Godiva in the bag...and Truffle in the background supervising the inspection:It was my job to inspect all the purses that mommy was pulling out of the closet....Yep, she pulled EVERY SINGLE purse out of the closet and put them in two large garbage bags...Here is me inspecting the purses before they were all packed...I needed to butt-test them to make sure they were still comfortable to be carried in...There were four purses i allowed mommy to give away and there is a HUGE pile of shoes that mommy is donating! I cant believe she's getting rid of shoes! My sisters and i have NEVER seen a shoe box leave our home...only new ones coming INTO our home!

Now, all this talk about Grandma makes my sisters and me VERY excited. We LOVE to go to Grandma's house! Grandma & Grandpa sneak us foodables when mommy isn't looking and playing with Cousin Abbie is SO much fun. Every time we hear mommy and daddy talking about "Grandma" my sisters and i RUN to one of our carrying casesKeep in mind that the carrying case you see in this pic holds either Truffle alone or Godiva and i together (tightly). Mommy has NO idea how all three of us managed to cram our fuzzy butts in there at the same time. BUT...we did!

as of right now...this is what part of our living room looks like...Mommy keeps talking about giving the sofa and some other furniture away for free. and to be honest...after participating in Pip's Occupy Your Couch...were a little distraught as to why on earth mommy would get rid of our sofa...let alone GIVE it away for FREE!

As you can imagine...my sisters and i have exhausted ourselves trying to figure out whats going on and inspecting everything that mommy is putting in containers...Were flat out pooped! Can you please help my sisters and i figure out whats going on!? i know some of you are great detectives and have MUCH more life experience than my sisters and i....

Were counting on you to help us while we anxiously wait to solve this mystery!

I'm entering Mango's Minster! 2012

WARNING: MAJOR CUTE ALERT! THE FOLLOWING PHOTOS ARE GOING TO MAKE YOU AWW, EEK, OOH, AND MAKE ALL THOSE WEIRD BABY SOUNDS.

yep, you read correctly! ever since i was a little puppy and mommy brought me home when i was only on week old... i have always wanted to enter this competition. for the very first time in my furry 3 1/2 year life! and I'm entering into the Too Darn Cute part of the competition! I sure hope I'm Too Tarn Cute enough to compete against the rest!

With everything that has gone on, i have been a bundle of nerves playing nurse to my little sister Lady Godiva and therapist/tear cleaner upper to my mommy i have been just so shaken up that i have peepeed on the carpet in front of the human bathroom three times since Friday (oops!). Anyway, being the princess that my mommy knows i am, she sure knows how to make my life pretty and pink again! I got one of my favorite treats today...a PAWDICURE! And I am SUCH a good girl while the polish dries after mommy hand files my nails:

Mommy DOES have a trick up her sleeve to get me to stay lying like this for long enough for the polish to dry...wanna know what it is???

I DEMAND that she rub my belly!
And OMD does it feel good!With Godiva feeling and actin a lot better...mommy decided that we needed to celebrate so she dressed us up in new outfits because we LOVE our clothes! So I'm thinking that if the second photo of me is not cute enough (or if The Mango will allow it) Cute multiplied by three is always cutter than cute multiplied by 1!

UPDATE - Almost back to normal

Little Lady Godiva was carrying around her little teddy bear stuffie last night and this morning she went after her frog stuffie and was squeaking it to her little hearts content!

Normally, when I'm on a global conference call i confine myself to a room without any squeekie stuffies and the girls generally know that when I'm on the phone to not make any noise...but today...Godiva didnt care how much squeaky noise she was making and frankly, neither did I. I figured that as long as she is following me around the apartment squeaking a stuffie non stop, than that means that she is not sad, feeling ill, or having a seizure. So i left my phone on mute until i had to speak and them put it back on mute right after :p

Last night Truffle and Godiva were both under the covers...i was wondering how close they were to each other and when i lifted up the covers, this is what i saw:They were cuddled together and just like before Godiva got sick...they were cuddled together with Godiva's arm over Truffle. Just like old times :)

So here is where the "almost" back to normal part is - Godiva still will not play with Truffle or Coco Bean. she will show interest in a toy that Coco Bean has but seems to recognise that she is not ready yet for Trufle's roughness (Truffle is 8 pounds of solid muscle and not an ounce of fat to her body no matter how much i feed her. Truffle is built like a little Tonka truck). Godiva did however go bouncing after Truffle this morning doing her play growl but Truffle was more interested in getting to the kitchen to have her morning potty-pad break and Godiva couldn't keep up with Truffle.

Godiva does not run anymore. she walks surprisingly fast (always has) but her little back legs seem a little stiff or are looking bow-legged (hard to tell which cause she moves so fast). But she cannot run like she used to; she hops like a bunny rabbit now when she tries to run which is really cute. she used to do this a lot as a puppy but stopped when she was about 1 and a half years old. She was SUCH a fast runner - much faster than Truffle and Coco Bean. Godiva was like a little torpedo when she ran. i'm hoping that she will have the motor skills to run like that again, but if not, than i will just have a super cute bouncing Chihuahua...kinda like a little mexican jumping bean!

I know you all miss posts from Coco Bean and are most likely tired of hearing about all this, but i want you to know that i really do appreciate all your kind words, prayers, thoughts, suggestions and for putting up with my questions and concerns.

The truth is, you all are the only ones i can go to for resources that i can blindly trust. yes, i can call the vet (and i do), but hearing from all of you has helped me so much more than you can imagine.

I promise that i will give the blog back to my Chihuahua Mafia soon and i truly hope that i dont lose any of you as followers and friends while i use The Girls blog to update you all on the progress of my Chi-Mafia.

Godiva - GOOD NEWS UPDATE!

Last night i gave my little Lady Godiva her first pill of Phenobarbital. it made her sleepy but after a nap, she woke up and actually started to show interest in her favorite little stuffie! She carried it around in her mouth very cautiously and brought it into her crate for a moment and then when she came out of her crate with it in her mouth she gave it a little shake! our little peanut was trying to play!

She is able to open her left eye, and is acting very happy and wagging her tail. her appetite is good and while she acts like she is rediscovering how to do things and what things are, she is still potty trained (thank dog for that!)

Coco Bean desperately needed some "mommy & me" time last night. Coco Bean brought me some of her stuffies and played and rolled around and acted goofy. These last few days have taken a lot out of Coco Bean. She has been doing the bad peepee on the carpet, throwing up white stomach foam, decreased appetite, and spending all her time right by Godivas side. Last night was the first time since Friday that Coco Bean actually ate her doggy dinner and played. And while she kept an eye on Godiva she wasn't glued to Godiva's side like she has been.

Truffle on the other hand is still acting oddly. Shes eating (never had a problem with that), but she is being very distant. i have checked to make sure she doesn't have a fever, her poop is good, etc. she just refuses to interact with Godiva like she used to. They used to be inseparable...and not i literally have to PLACE Truffle next to Godiva and tell her "STAY" just to take a picture and as soon as the photo is done, Truffie moves a good 1-2 feet away and just stares at Godiva like Godiva is about to sprout wings and a horn out of her forehead and fly around the room.

all in all, The vet does not know how Godiva survived through Friday night having seizures every 20-30 minutes for 12 hours straight...The vet told me that i must be Godiva's angel and my father told me that i am his hero because i took Godiva in knowing very well that she had medical problems.

Truth be told, I am far from a hero, and i am not an angel either. Its the Houston Pittie Pack Fearless Five Angels, and all of you coming together with your prayers and Power of the Paw that my little peanut made it through this weekend.

With the exception of some minor motor skills that Godiva has not regained, if you didnt know what her weekend had entailed, you would not know anything had happened to her. Its your prayers and Power of the Paw that pulled her through. And for that, i cannot thank you enough.

Lady Godiva is still very attached to me and still wants to be held all the time - but i can totally live with that!

Godiva Medication UPDATE (& a little more)

My BF picked up my house key from me today and then went to pick up Phenobarbital for our little Peanut. the vet also included a syringe with Valium in it in the event that (god forbid) another episode happens again like Friday Night when the seizures just wouldn't stop.

The BF got to my place and said that when Godiva heard his voice, she came to him wagging her tail and was all happy (the girls LOVE him with all their butt)

i will give her the first dosage of her medication this evening when i get home. Dr. Paul (our amazing and super cool vet) said that he is sure the phenobarbital will help her. Based on the feedback i have gotten from some of you who's furkids are on the same medication - you all have had positive results which keeps me in good spirits. I will post another update this evening on Our Little Peanuts Status.

Now...some of you might have heard about the quilt that is being made for Sandra and the Fearless Five. I was going to send just the silk patch off of Coco Beans Blanket...but...well...it would be easier for me to just let you read the letter i have sent with the blankie...yea...i couldn't just cut off the patch because while the patch has significant meaning..the whole blankie holds even more meaning and love.

"The day that I brought Coco Bean home (not sure if you know about that whole crazy story) I needed to get a small blanket that would keep her warm because the people who I bought her from told me she was 6 weeks old and when I got her home, I noticed that she had absolutely NO teeth in her mouth placing her age at no more than one week old. So I ran out to Neiman Marcus (with Coco Bean in my bra so she would be warm) and I bought a Barefoot Dreams blanket. It is only 15x15 inches and cost me $45 (noting but the best for my princess right). On the blanket is a silk patch that has a castle on it and embroidery that says "Go Barefoot and Build Your Dreams"

On Friday night 1/6/2012 Lady Godiva started seizing. Her seizures happened every 20-30 minutes and lasted the whole night right up until I was able to get her to the vet on 9am Saturday morning. Her seizures finally stopped late Saturday but her neurological and motor skills have continued to deteriorate straight through to early this morning. I have kept Little Lady Godiva wrapped in this blanket as it seems to bring her comfort and eases some of her shaking. If Godiva is not wrapped in the blanket, Coco Bean brings it to her.

I kept asking myself “how am I going to part with this blanket for Sandra’s quilt if my little peanut needs it so much right now!?” But today I got some good news. The vet thinks that seizure medication will help my little peanut and while she most likely will not regain her motor skills (jumping onto her doggy sofa or on top of the crate) she will not be so riddled with seizures like she has been since Friday evening.

This to me is a sign. A sign that while this blankie has brought Coco Bean and Godiva so much comfort for the past three and a half years, it is now time to pass that comfort and all the love this blankie holds to Sandra.

Coco bean carries that blanket around EVERYWHERE and even sneaks it into the bed with me and pulls it under the covers. The blanket holds a LOT of sentiment to myself and Coco Bean & Godiva. I cant think of a better purpose than to have it put in a quilt for Sandra."

My dear friend Sandra, if you are reading this...Honey, Like the patch on my babies blankie says, "Go barefoot and build your dreams"...it's time for you to start rebuilding your dreams. And while you will most likely end up with just a 6x6 square of this blankie (mostly the patch on the front of it), it is important for you to know that the blankie part is still attached to the other side of the silk patch...and it holds SO much more love and sentimental value than words can express. All the love of my tireless efforts and sleepless nights awake just to make sure my fur-babies made it through the night and lived to wag their tail another day. I hope the section of my babies blankie in your quilt brings you the same comfort, and wraps you in the love that it has done for my babies.

Lady Godiva UPDATE and some good news!

Our little peanut made it through the night! She actually woke me up making her usual squeeky sound excited voice because she had to make the good peepee! She is still wobbly and her physical actions make it apparent that she is still having difficulty with motor skills. But Coco Bean is staying close to her and keeps a very close eye on her. When peanut loses balance Coco Bean is right there to clean her face And either nudges peanut with her nose or paws at peanut. She also stays with peanut until peanut gets on her feet and follows coco bean back to the bedroom.

I just talked to the vet. he said definitely doggy epilepsy and her neurological problems have gotten worse. he is prescribing phenobarbital to be taken daily as well as liquid Valium for me to inject her with in the event that she has another episode while on phenobarbital.

More than likely her wobbly ways will not get better, but were hoping that on the new medication, they will not get any worse.

I will keep you all updated this evening when i give her her first dosage of Phenobarbital. i will also do a follow up post of all the wonderful advice i have been given and how i have made it a part of Godiva's life going forward like the wonderful idea of a doggy seizure bag!

thank you all for your prayers, thoughts, advice and sending me Power of the Paw. you all have proven that yet again, our healing vibes can and do save our babies lives. And for that, i cannot thank you enough. We are not out of the woods yet but were almost there. please continue to keep our little peanut in your thoughts and prayers.

Lady Godiva - Turn for the worse

my little peanut has taken a turn for the worse. a few hours ago while she was with me at my moms, she started shaking and being wobbly. i just got her home and she threw up on herself and was just laying in it. i cleaned her up and she is just laying on her side and not moving but she is breathing and she follows me with her eyes when i walk by her.

i am beside myself...i keep asking what i could have done more...what signs have i missed. how do i fix this...god please just let her make it through the night.

i love my little peanut and i cant stand seeing her like this. i thought i could not cry anymore since i have been crying since Friday night straight through to right now.

Lady Godiva Update

i got to bring my little peanut home late yesterday. she is very tired and refuses to not be attached to either myself or my BF.

i have to call the doctor later today and find out whats next.

Lady Godiva last night started showing neurological problems. She has lost vision in her right eye, holding her mouth oddly, can't stand or walk and her body get ridged followed by horrible shaking. Please pray for my little Godiva. I love my peanut and feel so horrible that I cant save her from whatever is happening. All I know is that she is getting worse. Please pray for my little peanut. Here is a photo of when she was healthy and happy... The way I want her to be and the only way I want to remember her

just left the vets. she keeps falling on her right side. they took her and told me to call back at 1pm. the vet bill is up to $299. all last night i was up holding her...PRAYING that she would make it through the night. now i'm just praying that i dont have to send her to the rainbow bridge.

Just called the vet... Couldn't wait another hour and a half. Her x-rays dont show anything wrong. They immediately put her on Valium because they couldn't get her little body to stop shaking. He said that she is sitting in the crate drooling. Definitely neurological but we dont know at this point how bad the neurological damage is.

I'm in peaces. cant stop crying. trying to keep positive but for some reason i cant help but to try to be prepared for the worst...why must time pass so slowly at times like this?

Heartbreak in Houston

I just read about some horrific news on Mr. Pip's bloggy about our beloved Houston Pittie Pack suffered an unimaginable tragedy last night ...a fire took their home and the lives of five of their beloved dogs, including our beautiful blogville miracle, Shelby.

My heart stopped and my stomach sank. we have all followed precious Shelby's story from the painful beginning. We prayed for her and cheered her on as she beat the odds that were set against her and SURVIVED. There really are no words to describe how deeply saddened we are at this horrific event.

Tomorrow's Grand Finale of Mr. Pip's Couch Occupation will be dedicated to Guero, Coco Chanel, Tiger, Lucky, and Shelby. This is no longer about couches, but about supporting and standing with our friends.

Along side with Mr. Pip, tomorrow i will be hosting a comment-a-thon and for every comment left on tomorrow's post, I too (just like Mr. Pip) will donate .50 to the Houston Pittie Pack Family. So please, comment away!

Tessa the Maltese - Tessa and her mommy my family and i hold VERY close and dear to our hearts. Tessa's mommy once told us that she followed our bloggy before she even had Tessa and it was our bloggy that inspired her to start Tessa's blog when she first got Tessa!

Baby Rocket Dog & Hootie - Now, these two are new to my bloggy but they have definitely kept me entertained since meeting them when they entered our Awkward family photo contest. they look so alike my sisters and i cannot tell which one is Hootie and which is Rocket Dog but were sure that if we ever got a chance to meet them in person we could figure it out.

Lilibell & Chewy - did you know that Lilibell's mommy is a top notch doggy clothing designer!? she makes the most beautiful dresses! Lilibell has a super cute little hop-skip-jump-wiggle to her walk just like me (Coco Bean) and her brother Chewy looks exactly like my sister Truffle!

Lola & Tucker (live together but have separate bloggs) - These are two cool furkids! Lola is a Pug Tucker is a Chihuahua like me and my sisters! Lola & Tucker's mommy is also very talented and not only makes beautiful snow globes but also takes special requests!!

Stewey - this spunky Pembroke Welsh Corgi is always well dressed! major kudos for that!

Mommy decided that we would wear our special occasion winter clothes for the holidays this year...which meant that Truffie doesn't get to look goofy which i'm sure she'll be ok withAlthough, I'm sure Truffie will find a way to wear her Reindeer antlers with her nice dress shirt and she'll probably tell mommy it'll keep her head worm. Darn her for having such good excuses to be such a goofball!

I guess i cant be mad at her for it though...after all, i am the QUEEN of excuses as to why i need to look like a Princess and be decked out in my best outfits and jewelry/collars any time there is company or we go out.

My First Trip to the Beach!

Daddy came over SUPER early in the morning (5:15am) and woke me and mommy up and told us that we were going to go to the beach to watch the sun rise. Now...i had no idea what a beach was or what it meant to watch the sun rise, but i know what "ride in the car" means and i was super excited! Here are the photos of my first trip to the beach!

First, we walked...well, i didn't walk...mommy walked while i hitched a ride in her jacket.there were so many new sounds...waves softly crashing on the sand, birds chirping and singing...even a hawk kept flying by making hawk noises. mommy wouldn't put me down because daddy said that the hawk probably thought i was food!

When we got to another section of the beach, this is the beautiful sight we got to see...And then the sun started to come out from behind the mountains...I met a red bone coon hound who was super friendly and sweet like my cousin Abbie and was very gentle with me. mommy said that he felt like velvet. since the other dogs at the beach were on leashes and all seemed very friendly (and the hawk was not around anymore) mommy decided to let me experience sand for the first time...Mommy thought that when i felt sand under my feet for the first time i might get a little weirded-out (like when i walked on grass for the first time) but i didn't. instead i let my schnoozle to the leading for me! my schnoozle went right for the sand and i kept following all the smells - boy-oh-boy were there TONS of smells and it was SO much fun! i even managed to get sand on the top of my head! (mommy has no idea how i managed this). i found a shell and licked it...take my word for it when i tell you it smells better than it tastes.

after about 20 minutes, mommy saw something right when she took this photo...do you see what my mommy saw??? I started limping and favoring my left hind leg...the one i had knee surgery on back in March. So mommy put me back in her jacket. I was ok with it because it was a long way back to the car and mommy's knees are much better than mine and hanging out in her jacket was the best seat in the house! (Note from mom: tried to upload the pix of Coco Bean in my jacket but they were coming out upside down when blogger uploaded them).

by the time we got back to the car, i was super tired...(the photos are coming out upside down again so until i have a fix for this, you'll have to imagine Coco Bean fast asleep on my lap).

then we went to down town Half Moon Bay and had brunch at a fur-kid friendly cafe. by the time i got home i didn't want anything to do with my sisters because i was so tired! This is my "leave me alone or I'm going to yip at you!" facei curled up with mommy and went back to sleep...I didn't want to cuddle with anyone but my mommy so instead of upsetting me, Truffle curled up close by to me instead...

Coco Bean Nose: Eukanuba Chihuahua Formula

Hello fur-friends!

I was asked for my sisters and i to try out a new Chihuahua specific dog food by Eukanuba. Here's what happened...

At first my sisters and i were very interested in the bag that mommy brought inside (the nice people at Eukanuba were kind enough to send us two bags for the 28 day challenge) Lady Godiva was more interested in sticking her head in the bag than trying what mommy had put in the bowl. but after all, the sneaky little meatball IS known for being able to stick her head in peoples pockets without them realizing it so that she can steal gum!Truffle on the other hand had no problems trying to dive right into the bowlI on the other hand (as you can see) didn't want anything to do with it. Mommy even tried to hand feed me one kibble at a time which mommy KNOWS i am a total sucker for and i still wouldnt have anything to do with this new food.
Now, before you get the impression that i am a picky Princess, let me assure you that i am not...for some reason i really just wasn't interested in this food for some reason. But mommy knows that if i don't want to try a new food, she wont try for force it on me; she just takes my word for it. If only i was able to convince her of this when it comes to medicine.

Truffle and Godiva couldn't get enough of this food on the other hand. as you can see from this photo, they were totally begging for mommy to just hand over the bowl!
Because it is not good to just switch foods on us doggies, what mommy did was she measured out a 1/4 of a cup of this new Eukanuba Chihuahua food and took small hand fulls and tossed them on the floor so that Truffle, Godiva and I would go hunt for it...
it is a game that my sisters and i LOVE to play, but as you can see from the last picture...only 2/3 of that plan worked...you don't see my furry little butt hunting in that pic! and do you know why... yep, you guessed it. it's because i kept my furry little princess butt planted on the sofa!
My little wart-hog sisters on the other hand were begging for more! As you can see...there goes Godiva trying to stick her head back in the bag!
Mommy decided that a 1/4 of a cup between us was enough for introductions and she didn't want to upset our tummies so she put the bag away and fed us our normal dinner shortly after (which for the record, i gobbled up)

The next morning was the true test...you know...when we do our morning poobles and weebles. This my friends was then the REAL testing of the food takes place...and here's the result:

Coco Bean Poobles: perfect (but i didnt eat any of the Eukanuba
Truffle Poobles: too moist and didnt have the firmness it should have had. didn't pick up easy
Lady Godiva Poobles: Better than Truffles but not as good as mine

Aditionally, Truffle and Godiva were prone to gasious eruptions all night! Truffle's butt even squeaked!

The packaging is esthetically pleasing and the size of the kibble is perfect for our tiny mouths. As for the smell; it isnt as offensive as some of the other dog food on the market.

Mommy really wanted to stick to the 28 day challenge with all three of us, but was only able to continue it with Godiva who desperately needs to lose weight.

Truffle and i are back on our special dog food. Godiva really seems to like the Eukanuba but her poop hasn't firmed up so mommy is thinking that we wont make it the full 28 days.

And that my fur-friends is a Coco Bean Nose Review on the new Eukanuba Chihuahua Formula Dog food.

Mommy keeps our doggy food in a large container in the kitchen. The other day, it was dinner time and Truffle wasn't waiting in her crate like she usually is and when mommy was calling Truffie she wasn't responding...then we heard a ruckus in the kitchen...an this is what we found...
Somehow, Truffie-Monster managed to jump up into the food container! i guess the temptation of the entire container was much more appealing than her bowl with measures scoop of food in it. This was just too cute of a scene for mommy to be upset at Truffie for doing what she KNOWS is a major no-no.

CONTEST UPDATE: Mommy has emailed the publisher your photo submissions but he is on vacation until the 28th of November. so i am going to be posting the photo submissions here on my next post (this weekend) so that you all can vote too!

Had a serious talk with mom...

I was on my way with my mommy to Grandma's house to play with Cousin Abbie and Auntie Princess (AKA Prinnie-Bug)And i told mom that Truffle (AKA Truffie or Monster) and Lady Godiva (AKA Peanut or Meatball) REALLY needed to start making appearances on my bloggy! after all, they ARE my sisters and i DO share my house with them...right??? Mommy said "oh, ok Coco Bean, well see" and then i gave her my "i'm serious mommy" face.And as you are about to see, What Coco Bean wants, Coco Bean gets! Here are some super cute photos of Truffie who happened to be looking particularly cute (and well behaved)last night. So for today, I'm going to turn my bloggy over to Truffie!Hello furends! WOW ow WOW do i feel special that my big sister Coco Bean is sharing her bloggy with me for the day! I have lots I would love to tell you about but what i feel is most important is how mommy has managed to get me diagnosed with doggy ADHD. so now every evening mommy gives me what she calls "doggy Prozac" and it is super yummy and she gives it to me in this squirtey thing but i wish the squirtey thing would give me more cause it tastes so good that my sister Godiva tries to lick it as mommy is giving it to me!
Most importantly, ever since putting me on Doggy Prozac, i have not had a single potty accident and i manage to keep my butt over the pee-pad the ENTIRE time i am going potty which makes mommy VERY happy! I have even shown mommy that i know tricks like sit, stay (for about 5-10 seconds but then i bark), bed, doggy jail (crate), and my personal favorite command "go play" and that command means that me and my sister and Coco Bean get to bark and jump and run around like wild beasts for a few seconds! As you can see, i am even allowed up on the bed because i don't go potty up on mommy's bed anymore! the vet said that i wasn't stupid it was just that i couldn't focus (hmm, like mother like daughter?)Mommy is even looking to start taking me to doggy agility because she says that it will be good for my confidence and her waste line that she says needs to shrink. now, personally, i don't understand what my confidence and her waste line have to do with one another, but if it means more play /running time with mommy than I'm all for it! Mommy says that I'm going to be the best agility Chihuahua because i LOVE to run and i can jump higher than any Chihuahua that mommy has ever seen. Mommy knows this for sure because the top of her mattress is is 3.25 feet from the floor and i can jump on it without needing a running start OR touching the side of the bed with my nails. Not bad for a 7 1/2 pound chihuahua huh!? Mommy has found agility places, but these people want to train and work with me for mommy and that's not what mommy wants, mommy wants to train WITH me which i think is totally cool!

Anyway, i sure am glad i got to chat with you all and i hope that you are all going to send in a photo or two for the contest my sister is hosting! If you are not familiar with the contest i am referring to, please see the post below.

Coco Bean Nose: “Awkward Family Pet Photos” Book Review and CONTEST!

This has got to be the most fun book review I have ever done! The title of the book says it all and I promise you won’t be disappointed if you go out and get this book. My sisters and I cuddled with mommy as we looked at each photo and read each caption.

Awkward Family Pet Photos is the perfect size for any coffee table as it doesn’t take up too much or too little room! Measuring in at a whopping 7”x8.5”; this half inch thick book is filled with oober cuteness and laughter page after page that you could never get sick of looking at!

Here are a few of our favorites just to give you an idea of what kind of cuteness is in here:

“Bennie, we are sure, grows thumbs when we leave him. He has separation anxiety and he hates being left alone so he managed to push open a window on the second floor and scale up to the peak of the third floor. He was looking for his “people!”

And just to be a good sport about awkward family photos, I would like to post one of my mommy and my cousin Abbie which looks like a totally cute photo until you hear the story behind it… Abbie LOVES giving kisses and mommy is always more than happy to oblige. After taking this photo, Grandma told mommy that just before she arrived, Abbie found a dead and fairly squished squirrel under a parked car and carried it through her entire 1.25 mile walk because Grandma couldn’t get it out of Abbies mouth! Yea, the awkward moment when you find out that you just kissed a dog on the lips that had been carrying a dead squirrel for 1.25 miles! GROSS!

10 years ago today...

...WAY before my sisters and i were a twinkle in our pawrents eyes yet, our Grandpa was running through the house screaming "WERE UNDER ATTACK! GRAB THE DOGS!" and the first thing he did was grab the two dogs that he and grandma used to have.

You see, Today is our Grandpa's Birthday..yea... September 11th. A lot of people say to my mommy what a horrible day to have a birthday because so many lives were lost, and while this is true, and horrible that so many lives were lost, let us not forget that a LOT of incredibly brave humans and dogs saved hundreds of lives on this very day too.

Let us never forget, and let us ALWAYS stand united!

OMD...A Wedding!?

Hello Fellow FurKids!

Sorry it has been so long since my last post, but mommy has been recovering from extensive reconstructive surgery on her shoulder.

On Sunday morning, i was woken out of my deep slumber with my mokoosh (squirrel in Hungarian)... by mommy squealing my name...i was pretty shooken up by her hysteria of excitement hoping i wasn't in for another bath...when mommy told me that my uncle Chris and Mommys friend Galen were getting married and Uncle Chris and Galen want me to be the ring bearer in their wedding which is being held at the historic Ralston Rall Mansion! i had to ask what a ring bearer was and found out that i get to hold the rings of the bride and groom as i walk down the isle! HOLLY POOBLES THIS IS HUGE!!!!

OMD what am i going to wear!? i have to wear a dress of course, and it has to be fit for a princess...the colors of the wedding are Tiffany's blue, black and white. mommy explained that only the bride can wear white and mommy is going to be a brides made and gets to wear a beautiful blue dress...i am hoping my dress will match mommy's.

Mommy has been put in charge of making the jewelry for the bride, making the reception shoes of the bride sparkle, and of course mommy promised me that she would add sparkle to my dress too, and i get to get a pawdicure with sparkle pawlish...After all, Sparkle is our favorite color!

This is all just so exciting! i cant wait to start posting updates and photos about all the things mommy makes for the wedding! All this excitement and nervousness has worn me out so I'm going to go back to my nap with my mokoosh...

Wish me luck with finding the right dress maker for my outfit! If you know of anyone, let me know! :) Have anyof you been in a wedding!? i'm starting to freak out not knowing what to expect so I welcome any and all advise too!

Our 4 Day Weekend !

Hi Friends!

Fur starters, it was hotter than fish grease! so Truffle and I helped mommy with her Popsicle to make sure she didn't miss any of it It was so good, i couldn't stop licking my lips!i spent Saturday at Grandma's house playing with my cousin Abbie who got into my Auntie Gizelle's face pant while Auntie Gizelle was getting ready for a BBQ @ the local park
It looks like she has lipistick on! We BOL'd SO hard when we saw her face! Mommy said she looked like a cild that got into her mommy's lipistick!

Now, why on earth Abbie thinks that everything that is not foodables is edible is beyond us...Grandma thinks she has pika is an eating disorder typically defined as the persistent ingestion of nonnutritive substances whcich in Abbie's case means she likes to eat dirt, wood plastic, Grandma's plastic medical insurance card, paper and other inedible things...but oh well...She's what Grandma calls "Wild Woman" but mommy calls her "Moose Lips"

Then it was time for lots and lots of Chocolate Chihuahua Fun...in a place that we KNOW we are not allowed to have fun...(i'll explain later)Notice the hesitation on Truffle's face because she knows Godiva & I are doing a naughty thing (playing on mommy's bed).we love how Godiva's mouth looks like a hippo's mouth in this photo! BOL!Then Truffle got into the fun! She just couldn't stand it anymore :)Then Mr. Squirrel got in on the bitey-face and mommy decided that was enough because we got a little wild and when we get too wild playing sometimes one of us goes weebles (this is why we are not allowed to play on mommy's bed)Then we heard the magic word... "Girls." and we knew it was time to settle down. because we had been caught red-pawed playing on mommy's bedWe sure were poobled out by the end of our 4 day weekend with mommy! Why we should win a date with The Mango!

Hello Friends its me Truffle!
My sister Coco Bean informed Lady Godiva & I that The Mango from MasterChewSits is having a contest to win a date with him, but we have to post as to why we should win a date. As you all know (or maybe you don't cause our sister Coco Bean hogs the bloggy to herself!) MY sister Lady Godiva and myself are single...in fact, we have NEVER had a BF nor have we ever gone out on a date unlike our sister Coco Bean who has the most wonderful BF named Prince Dobby

Anyway, Lady Godiva and i believe that we should win the date with The Mango for the following reasons:

We love to snuggle and there sure is a lot of him for me and Godiva to snuggle with
We have a dog cave and we love to hang out in the dog cave too
When Godiva sometimes has gas problems like The Mango when she gets into the methane generating human foodables that fall on the floor while mommy is cooking or out of the garbage (photo not added for obvious reasons)
we are not bed hogs and are super cute when we sleep
we like to play with toys
We sometimes get fed up with mommy's flashy box thing like The Mango
our colors will compliment The Mango's brindle markings & vise versa.
Lady Godiva & i share everything so we would have no problems sharing Mango on the same date.
If The Mango chooses us, than he wouldn't be winning a date with just one lucky lady, he would get TWO and what man of The Mano's stature wouldn't want to date sisters at the same time!?
We don't eat very much (Truffle gets 1/4 of a cut twice a day and Godiva gets 1/8 a cut twice a day)
With me being 7 pounds and Godiva being 5 pounds The Mango wouldn't have to worry about us overpowering him. Plus, such behavior just is not in our nature
We love the company of other doggys
we love giving kisses and sucking on ears
We don't drink alcohol so The Mango wouldn't have to worry about us getting out of hand. That's right...only bottled water for us! (Mommy keeps a 2/1/2 gallon container in the fridge that is JUST for us)
We know our commands in both English and Hebrew VERY well (sit, stay, come, beg, touch/shake, high five, bed, crate/doggy jail, kisses, settle).
We are well educated knowing our commands in both English AND Hebrew. That's correct, we are a bilingual trio of Chihuahua's
When The Mango arrives to pick us of from the airport, we would be wearing our newest outfits made especially four our first date!
Lady Godiva & I are a total catch - just celebrated our second barkday, never married, no puppies = baggage free!

That is all that i can think of for now, but i sure do hope that this is enough for Lady Godiva & I to win the date with The Mango!

Today was Doggy Rescue Day

We have a neighbor who has a dog named Domino. when the neighbors daughtor moved out, she left Domino with her dad (our neighbor) but our neighbor has to keep domino inside while he is at work and since he is in construction, that means Domino is left in the house for on average 12 hours a day with no potty breaks. can you imagine having to hold your potty for 12 hours!? Domino was also fed human food on a daily basis and had such a horrible flea problem that she was going bald from scratching and chewing on herself.She was hit by a motorcycle about a one and a half years ago (and was never taken to the vet). As well as being in an apartment with two cats, Domino also shares/has shared her home with two love birds (fly free through the apartment at times), and a few squirrels (fell out of tree in back yard and needed nursing). Domino play’s with the baby squirrels right up until they are adults and its time for them to be released and she had NEVER hurt one of them (she tries to herd them). When you come home at the end of the day (or leave for 5 minutes and come back) she gets SUPER excited and smiles showing all of her teeth…she literally SMILES. Domino also LOVES going for rides in the car and will mumble & grumble at you if you are standing near her leash. The few times mommy has taken Domino on a walk, Domino likes to hold onto her end of the leash as mommy walks her (kind of like a golden retriever would do)

She is in-tact and would need to be spayed. The fur on her rump is not as black as it used to be and now she looks like she has red in her fur which I think is due to loosing chunks of fur during flea seasons. But it wouldn’t surprise me if it all grew back black if she was taken care of. Domino is a wonderful dog and if I didn’t already have three dogs myself, I would take her without hesitation. Domino needs a home that will love her and keep her inside. She lives very much like a street dog but would greatly benefit and thrive if she were given to a responsible home…a home that would feed her good doggy food, cuddle with her at night, take her to the place of tile and steel (the vets), have her spayed and vaccinated. Domino needs a home that will show her what it is like to have the unconditional love that she so desperately needs and deserves…the same kind of unconditional love that she has always shown me, my sisters and our mommy.

There are so many wonderful things about Domino Mommy and i honestly wouldn't know where to begin. Domino only deserves the best. She deserves to be treated how my mommy treats me and my sisters and how Grandma treats Abbie & Princess and how your humans treat you!

My mommy and our neighbor spoke and mommy helped him decide that Domino needed to go to a better home and that mommy would find one for Domino (that was 5 months ago). Mommy has found homes and has had many offers for Domino, but mommy turned them all down because she didn't feel that they were the "RIGHT" home(s) for domino.
Last week, my Grandma called Mommy and said that she had a co-worker who was looking for another dog and pur her in touch with mommy. from the moment mommy spoke to Mary she knew that THIS was the right now for Domino!

This morning, mommy took Domino to meet Mary at the Vets office. Mary decided to go to the same Vet that me and my sisters go to because he is REALLY good and his prices are AMAZING. At 8:15am this morning mommy kissed me and my sisters goodbye for the day and put Domino in our car and drove off...Domino wanted to hang out the window, but it made mommy nervous so Domino just sat in the front seat like the good girl that she is and kept an eye on mommy's travel Tea-mug to make sure it didn't spill:
When they arrived at the vets office, mommy took Domino for a walk until Mary arrivedWhen Mary arrived, Domino was very happy but a little apprehensive and shy. The first thing Mary did was put a collar and leash on Domino and held onto the leash and mommy stepped back a little bit so that Domino would get used to her new mommy. So Mary and mommy hung out in the parking-lot and talked for a while while Mary held Domino's leash and my mommy told Mary lots of information about Domino and gave Mary the gift bag that we helped put together last night. In the gift bag there was: 2 tennis balls (Domino LOVES Tennis balls), a business card for Flea Busters (an amazing company), some treats and cookies, and a magnet of our vet where Mary will continue to take Domino.

A little while ago, mommy received a call from Mary to update us on Domino's status - Domino had to get SEVEN injections she needed her standard vaccines (she had never had any), and she needed an injection for her worms that she got from the fleas, and an injection of another antibiotics for the cough that Domino developed this morning because it was the beginning if kennel cough. Her teeth and gum's are in really good shape, but she is underweight (probably from the worms and unbalanced diet). Domino is now at her forever home and will be kept in quarantine in a bedroom until tomorrow morning because we want the kennel cough to be under control (they said mommy caught it right at the very beginning!) and we don't want the other two dogs in Domino's new home to catch it either.Mommy, my sisters and i are going to miss Domino but we know that we are doing what is best for her and we feel incredibly blessed to have been able to share our life with Domino and we know that Mary will feel just as blessed to now have Domino in her life :). It was a wonderful way to start the morning and a wonderful way to begin the weekend!

Sunday Fun Day and yummy foodables!

Hello fellow furkids!

My sisters and i have missed you all SO much!Although we have not had time to update our bloggy in WAY too long Mommy has mad ensure that her busy schedule has not stopped us from having lots of fun. Mommy makes sure that any free time she has she spends playing and cuddling with us.

Here are a few things that mommy and i have done...

We have lots of visits to Grandma's house every Sunday and mommy made me a little hat out of petal from a HUGE tulip from a bouquet that me and my sisters got Grandma for mothers day:Mommy and i are on a mission for new furniture for me and my sisters that is made for our size so we went to Target and i butt-tested furniture:One thing that i have kept a secrete (until now) is that between my sisters and i some of us (maybe all three of us) have been put on a doggy diet. yea, serious pooble face regarding that! we get measured quantity of food twice a day and only ONE treat in the morning right before mommy goes to work. (for the record, my sisters and i are still contemplating going peepee in mommy's shoe(s) in protest of this diet)

Another secrete is that we have sensitive tummies and anything other than a small milk bone broken in half gives me and my sisters "the bad poop". As those of you who also have sensitive tummies know...this can be incredibly difficult for our mommy (and us) to deal with. We are fortunate that mommy feeds us Blue Buffalo and that works well on our tummies, but cookies are just don't agree on our tummies.

The week before last a super nice gentleman named Anthony contacted our mommy and wanted to introduce a new product by his company called Terra Paws. Terra paws is human grade treats that are freeze dried and contain absolutely NO crazy ingredients. Anthony understands that we are the loves of out humans lives. Anthony was so upset after finding out what was in his little Hailey's food that he started the Terra Paws company and quit his job!!! That's one cool dude to quit his job just to start a company to offer us food and treats that are good for us!

This is a photo of Hailey (Anthony's little girl):when mommy looked at the milk-bone ingredients what she found was incredibly disturbing. In fact, it was SO disturbing to my mommy (and us) that we thought it was important that you see all the garbage (literally - "dough conditioner" what the HECK is that!? and the rest of this garbage... you don't really have to read everything, but it is definitely something that you need to show your humans):

Ingredients: Wheat flour, wheat bran, beef meal and beef bone meal, wheat germ, beef fat (preserved with tocopherols), poultry-by-product meal, lamb meal, salt, chicken meal, dried beet pulp, dicalcium phosphate, bacon fat (preserved with BHT, propyl-gallate, and citric acid), brewers dried yeast, whey, artificial color (includes red 40, yellow 5, blue 1), vitamins (choline chloride, dl-alpha tocopheryl acetate [vitamin e], vitamin a acetate, calcium pantothenate, riboflavin, vitamin b12 supplement, d-activated animal sterol [source of vitamin d3]), malted barley flour, iron oxide, casein, natural flavor (source of peanut butter flavor), sodium metabisulfite (dough conditioner), minerals (zinc sulfate, calcium carbonate, copper sulfate, ethylenediamine dihydriodide [source of iodine]), soy lecithin. (i cant believe i just typed all this! but my goodness was this a MAJOR eye opener!)

Calories per Biscuit - small/medium = 30
Fat per Biscuit - small/medium = 0.5 g

When we looked at the ingredients of the Terra Paws treats we found this:
Freeze dried chicken liver - under 6 calories per piece!
Freeze dried Beef Liver - approximately 9 calories per piece!
Freeze dried sweet potato - approximately 4.5 per piece!
- NO CORN, WHEAT, SOY, GLUTEN OR SUGAR! - NO PRESERVATIVES, ADDITIVES OR FILLERS! - NOTHING ARTIFICIAL, JUST 2 SIMPLE, ALL NATURAL INGREDIENTS!

The Sweet Potatoe's are Organic. The Chicken and Beef Liver are Kosher but not "certified" organic. Tera Paws wanted to provide the healthiest product while remaining affordable as most Freeze-Dried treats to be priced way too high.

i was a little concerned that while there were no additives in the process of creating the treat but what about hormones used in most meat products (g-d forbid me and my sisters start ingesting cow hormones or pestacides!) but in doing research, mommy found that the products are all raised by farms located here in the USA and are completely natural.

The Chicken and Sweet Potato are produced "for" human consumption so yes, they are completely "human grade" but because the liver is actually freeze-dried raw "to" human grade standards but since it's a raw organ meat it's not classified as "for" human consumption (so make sure that if your humans are reading this over you shoulder they don't go getting any crazy ideas). these are furkid treats and our humans have enough treats of their own that they don't share with us!

Our Cousin Abbie and her mommy Princess have two very different eating situations...

Abbie: eats EVERYTHING non-food related(wood, leaves, fabric, stuffies, grandma's kaiser card) but is INCREDIBLY picky about food and treatsPrincess: would LOVE to eat EVERYTHING but anything other than her doggy food will give her "the bad poop" for weeks!In fact, Princess had been battling a case of "the bad poop" for 4+ days because she had a milk-boneSo these treats came at the PERFECT time because Princess's poop just got good about 2-3 days ago and it was time to test her sensitive tummy out with Terra Paws and Abbie's super picky food/treat issue too!

Princess was a little hesitant (understandably) so i gave her some moral support and assured her that these treats would not upset her tummyand as for Abbie...the super picky eater of any kind of treat or food...well, I will let these next few photos speak for themselves:

Hello friends! You all sure pulled together for Power of the Paw for my recovery and it has been working wonders! I am going to give you some updates and then i have a very special offer for all of you.

I am healing well and have grown almost enough fur back to where you can barely see the incision site. I am playing and running, but I am still hesitant about jumping… actually; I refuses to jump on anything if mommy is at home. Instead, I will sit and stare at mommy and grunt at her until she picks me up. Mommy things its super cute when i grunt!

Truth be told, I'm REALLY enjoying this extra special attention (i even tasted a small niblet of Bacon for the first time!) Does this photo not look like a Princess that is happier than a pig in slop!?

Truffle has been a wild woman so she has made two trips to the bark park with he cousin's Abbie & Princess (Abbie is standing in the car seat with Truffle and Princess is sitting closest to the camera) and the Bark Park makes Truffle & Abbie REALLY tired which Mommy and Grandma really like because then Truffle & Abbie aren't bouncing off the walls!

Mommy decided that it was time for us to have more durable collars (Truffle chewed off Godiva's collar from Scruffy Dog Collars and it made mommy sad because she REALLY liked those collars). But, you know our mommy and nothing is ever good enough for us..that is, until she found this super special web site called "Small Dog Mall" and under the collars section for collars they had one called "A Perfect Little Dog Collar". Mommy thought why not and bought us all three of us a lavender collar.

Mommy was shocked when the package arrived just a few days later but she was blown away when she opened the box. Inside the box was the three collars wrapped in pretty tissue paper and a hand written thank you note. Also in the box was three cookies for me and my sisters and a small bag of jelly beans for mommy (how did they know jelly beans are mommy's favorite?)

UPDATE: Post Surgery Day 10

It has been 10 days since her surgery and it is time for those ugly stitches to come out... So i asked Coco Bean if she was ready to go for a ride in the car and she ran to the closet because she knows she can not go out without a coat on:I took Coco Bean for a ride in the car to have her stitches out...it was a quick in and out procedure so i didn't have to be put into a room. they just took Coco Bean into the back and brought her back out to me no more than 5 minutes later :)

When we got home, Coco Bean was a very good girl and let me clean up the incision site because when they took the stitches out it bled a little, and she let me take a photo too!
Even though it was a quick simple procedure, shortly after we got home Coco Bean was tired from all the excitement, and was sitting at the bottom of my chair BEGGING to be held
Coco Bean is more wonderful than you can imagine. She knows exactly what she wants and if it is a lap to sit on, she settles down very quickly. At first, she wanted to look out the window:And when she was done with that, she fell fast asleep on my shoulder:
And from there, as if that wasn't comfortable enough, Coco Bean did what her favorite thing to do is...she insisted on crawling into my shirt and sleeping some more:
Coco Bean is using her leg a little more and more each day. I still dont let her wrestle with Lady Godiva & Truffle and oddly enough, she doesn't really try to partake in their crazy doggy derby bitey face sessions yet. I think she knows that she is not ready for that just quite yet.

Lady Godiva & Truffle spend a lot of time sitting with Coco Bean and cleaning her face and hears for her. they are being really good little nurses and i am very proud of them.

I will continue to keep you updated as Coco Bean's progress continues.

Post Surgery Update: Day 5

i have happy news ro report...Coco Bean seems to be feeling much better.

I took the donut collar off of her for a little bit and she wanted to play! she grabbed one of her little squirrel stuffies and brought it to me! of course i dont want her playing quite yet, but it made me happy to see her enthusiasm. so i brought her up onto my bed and she was acting SO goofy! i had to share this pic of her being silly up on my bed:

I even took a photo of her surgery incision so that you could see how well she is healing. the bruising is hardly noticeable and is healing quite nicely:
i called the Vet today and asked about the top bump because it is red and i was worried. I sent the Vet this photo and he told me it is nothing to worry about. He said that it is nothing to worry about.

On Saturday, Coco Bean poobled for the first time, then again yesterday, and a whole pooble load today! Let me tell you, she sure made up for those two days of not pooping!

I will keep you all posted on her progress!

Post Surgery Update.

I got Coco Bean home last night. she had one of those cone collars on which i think are so mean, so i put the donut collar on her which does the same thing but does not obstruct her view or mobility.
She is really out-of-it and wants to sleep a lot so i make her conferabl. here is a photo of her right after i took the collar off
Here is a photo of her boobooI have her her medicine this morning which is the antibiotic mixed with the pain meds into a liquid form. the horrible taste of the pain meds made her foam at the mouth. had to take a photo of her foaming at the mouth. it was upsetting to me to give her something that made her more uncomfortable but somehow i was able to get .6 ml into her instead of the .7 the vet wanted me to give her.I called the vet and he is making up a different elixir of her pain meds and antibiotic separately to that we don't have this problem anymore.

Coco Bean is standing but is wobbly and refuses to even attempt to put her back left leg down which is totally understandable (i wouldn't either if i were her). She is still staying in her doggy playpen and i heard her get up late last night to eat doggy food, and then again at around 4:00am and she went peepee then got back into her bed.

her food, water, bed are all in the playpen and the playpen is lined with pee pads so she does not have far to walk for anything she may need.I will be posting update daily to keep you all informed of her progress.

Again, i thank you all for keeping Coco Bean in your prayers and thoughts and for keeping your paws crossed for her. While i know she still has a ways to go for recovery, i know that the power of the paw is working so please continue to keep her in your thoughts and paryers.

Coco Bean's post surgery UPDATE

i called the vet at 9:50am adn they had just received Coco Bean's blood work and it showed that she was good to go and all in the clear for surgery. The surgery was scheduled for later in teh afternoon and i was told to call back at 5pm.

i called the Vet at 4:55 ( i just coudln't wait any longer). The vet said that Coco Bean made it through surgery quite well and was in the cage recovering still hoked up to IV fluids and pain meds. they wanted to keep her overnight to make sure that there are not any post-op problems. of course i agreed. as much as i want her home with me, i know she will not feel well and will be distracted with Truffle and Godiva running around and i KNOW they will not leave her alone if i bring her home.

i just want her to rest there (with the extra pain meds) until i pick her up tomorrow. i anticipate a lot of babying her and hand feeding her. And i know she will have a large bandage on her leg. i wonder how she will get around to go potty but i'm not worried about that too much. what i do worry about is whats going to happen while i'm at work on Friday. What if she needs something and i am at work!? I am going to ask my boss' if i ca work half the day at the office and the other half a day at home. I'm sure they will understand.

if any of you or your friends have had a dog (or dogs) with this surgery, can you please let me know if she will be able to get around? I have a small playpen set up for her. i call it the "recovery nursing station" and it is in my bedroom next to my bed. i have the bottom covered in pee-pads and a small bed and her water bowl in it so she doesnt have to go very far to eat/drink/go potty of she needs to. Also, Lady Godiva & Truffle wont be able to get to her to play which i KNOW they will want to do.

Coco's Luxating Patella...

I am writing this with a heavy heart right now. On Friday evening, Coco Bean was playing with a sock that she had taken from the hamper. She would throw it in the air, chase after it and roll around with it. About 20 minutes into this, all of a sudden she would not put her back left leg down.

I laid her on her back and moved her little leg around with no reaction from her. We got into bed and as she always does, she laid down on my stomach. she would whimper or grunt and shiver almost the entire night. The next morning, she was acting fine but i noticed that she was skipping more noticeably than usual.

On Sunday when she was getting her bath, her back leg went out from under her and she fell hard on her left hip and then refused to put her leg down. Within an hour, she was back to her perky loving self.

Although she was acting and walking normal (except for the more noticeable skip) i knew i had to take her to her doctor. Today after work i brought her to the appointment and they took an x-ray.

when they brought me back into the room, this is what i saw:Coco's x-ray and a diagram and a book with drawings of a kneeThey did not have my little Coco Bean with them. Instead, they were giving her pain medication. Her little knee is so bad that her patella (knee cap) is off to the side of her knee and wont even stay in place. i immediately asked how soon they would be able to do the surgery to fix her little knee...at this point, i dont care how much it will cost. i just want my little angel to be well and pain free.

they asked if they could keep her over night to keep her hooked up to an IV of fluids and pain medication so that they could do the surgery first thing in the morning and i agreed. but first they brought her to me so that i could say goodnight and kiss her and tell her how much i love her.

i miss my little angel so much right now i dont know how i am going to sleep without her. i feel so horrible that i did not know she was having this problem and extreme pain because she hid it so well.

they told me that this surgery will not only fix this problem and free her of her pain, but it is an incredibly successful surgery and will fix it permanently and i wont have to worry about her little left knee luxating again.

The whole surgery package (x-ray, blood work, IV's, catheter, etc) is going to cost me $1,032.00.

I ask that you keep my little Coco Bean in your prayers and thoughts tonight, tomorrow, and through her recovery. I know that if we all come together the power of the paw will get her through this safely.

We made it home!

And all is good in the world!

But let me tell you...my sisters and i were SO tired! Mommy was SO happy to see us and we were incredibly happy to see her too...but at that point, all we wanted to do was sleep!

Truffle: "huh? Wha? what was that big flash?"

Truffle: "Oh no mommy, no flashie beast thingy right now please? i wanna sleepyz first"I was so tired, i didn't even wake up when mommy took this picture of me, but Godiva didOh, and here is two photos of me on my tempurpedic pillow that you all heard about in my last post...

I'm telling ya...if you don't have one, make you humans go out and get one! it isn't easy being a dog (or a cat I'm sure). you need postropedic for your little doggy (or cat) butts! Youll sleep like a puppy (or kitten)Mommy has been working so hard and i know she has been a little stressed so my sisters and i have been spending a lot of time being our goofy selves and making sure she laugh's (often). Mommy especially likes it when i do my "froggy butt" stretches.

So on Tuesday, Mommy woke me and my sisters up before the sun was even awake to feed us our doggy breakfast. then she got out our purses and said that she was taking us for a doggy vacation and that we were going to stay at the doggy hotel...So, Lady Godiva and i jumpped right into our doggy bags and truffle sat on mommy's lap as we drove down the street. I could tell by the excitement in Truffle's voice that were were somewhere exciting when mommy turned off the car engine.So mommy took us out of the car and started walking into the pet store that we go to all the time and into a different section than we had never been to before. This section was behind big glass doors...it was the "Hotel" that mommy was speaking of.Truffle and Godiva were all for it, but being the smart one of the group headed straight for those glass doors and begged every person that walked past to open them for me but no one would help :( Dont get me wrong, everyone was incredibly nice to me and my sisters, but i had a bad feeling about this and somewhere in my little doggy gut it was telling me that this "Hotel" did not have the same kind of tempurpedic pillow for my little doggy butt that i have at home. yes, you read right...i have my very own tempurpedic pillow and it looks like this:Note from Mom: i did not buy this $100 pillow for Coco Bean. one day she decided she wanted to lay on it and it was so cute, i let her...ever since that ONE time, if i am sleeping on my pillow at night, she will wake me up at whatever hour she decides by grunting at me until i wake up and get off her pillow. as soon as i get off the pillow, she jumps right onto it and curls up in a ball and falls immediately asleep. The pillow is stolen and I am the rightful owner...i just have not been able to convince Coco Bean of this.
A girl came out and put red leashes on us and took us away...right after mommy kissed us and told us how much she loved us...Truffle made sure to lick the tears off mommy's face before we were swept away...

Mommy calls every day and checks on us...and told us about Masterchusets and how cold it is there and how much she misses us. The girls and i were curious so we logged onto our dogbook and looked up mommy's Facebook page...cold my furry doggy butt! she's out in Masterchusets playing in piles of whipped cream and staying in a WAY better hotel than my sisters and i!
Look at these photos!look at our mommy LYING to us! all bundled up like its cold. Horse pucky its cold...you went to charlies chocolate factory like in the movie we watched...WE SEE ALL THAT WHIPPED CREAM MARSHMALLOW IN THE BACKGROUND!!!and then we found THESE two photos...
She's climbing on marshmallow piles!and look at this one...at night, it sprinkles sugar from the sky and makes the marshmallow sparkle!
I know my two friends Mango the relentlessly Huge and Dexter the Labradude live in Masterchusets..I wonder if mommy saw Mango when the plain was flying over Boston??? It would be cool if Mommy got to meet them, but i would have to admit that my sisters and i would be a little upset if she did and left us behind because we would LOVE to meet them.

My sisters and i wanted to wish all of our furry friends and their humans a wonderful Holiday!!!

There has been lots going on and we cant wait to tell you all about it. We would like to say that Mommy is on the pooble list because she has not blogged in quite some time, but it is for a couple of very good reasons.First, our mommy got an AMAZING job, and while she still spends lots of tie with us, she has felt that it was more important to spend time with us (since she is at work for 9 hours out of the day) than to spend time ignoring us while she is online. Although, she has kept up with your bloggies.

Second, our grandma has been having trouble with her back and had to see a spine specialist and finally had a procedure done where they had to inject die and medicine in between he vertebrae of her lower back. So, mommy has been spending a lot of time taking care of that.

Mommy FINALLY found us some hand crafted collars that she felt were perfect enough for us. They are Princess collars and they are beautiful. Mommy said that since my sisters are princess's like me, than all three of us needed princess collars. Here is a photo of them: No photo shop here...they REALLY are that blingy!

Although it is nice that mommy works very hard for her money and buys us incredibly nice things with it, I still expresses my displeasement every morning...As you can see, Truffle & Lady Godiva try to comfort me, but i still insist that mommy should work from home land stay in bed and cuddle with us all day! After all, I AM a PrincessMommy gives us each a treat Ball with a MilkBone in it and that keeps us occupied while mommy leaves. And Mommy is also convinced that those treat balls keep us busy for a long time because when Mommy gets home, this is what she finds...Truffle for some reason has had by mommy's and my standards by FAR too much energy! So mommy took Truffle over to Grandmothers house for a play date with Princess & Abbie. When Mommy returned home with Truffle, Truffle was acting kinda odd and i got suspicious so i went through the camera and this is what i found...

Truffle hanging out with Princess and they (as you can see) were both staring at something...but i couldnt figure out what had the two fo them so interested...And then a photo of Truffle and Abbie..and then i came across THIS photo!Truffle eating home made organic pumpkin pie off of a spoon! And then THIS photo...for crying out loud, shes practically sucking the pumpkin pie off mommy's finger! WHAT IS THAT ABOUT!?!?!?

HOW DARE Mommy feed her fat little bald butt pumpkin pie! and to top THAT off, not bring any pumpkin pie home for me & Godiva...THE NERVE!

And last but hot least...and Godiva will TOTALLY back me up on this one...Truffle took this picture on purpose just to add insult to injury cause she KNEW i was going to find photos of her eating pumpkin pieShe stick's her tongue out at the camera! I SWEAR she knew i was going to find out that she got pie because we didn't! i KNEW her breath smelled too good to be true and it wasn't cause mommy brushed her teeth with pumpkin toothpaste like she had said! TOOTHPASTE IS CHICKEN FLAVOR!!!

It's ok though because Godiva and i came up with a way to get back at Truffle...and we think you are going to like it...Are you ready???

Recovery Time!

You sure all were right...little Lady Godiva got slipped into neutral! Here is all about her early morning journey!

The Crate that mommy put her into to take her to the place of surgery. But Godiva was FREAKING OUT So Mmmy Let her sit on mommy's lap since there was no traffic out that early and the place is only 1 1/2 miles from the home. I think that this picture was taken when Godiva finally started to realize that not only was something up, but it was NOT cool.

Then they arrivedAfter dorpping Godiva off and filling out the paperwork, mommy went straight to work. It was still totally dark outside! Crazy mommy!

Then at 2:30 PM mommy picked up Godiva and that was when mommy was told not only that SHE was going to have to go into the surgery room to get Godiva out of the cage but that once she was shown where Godiva's cage was they were going to stand back before mommy was allowed to open it...ok, now that is beyond weird and it had mommy totally baffled so she asked "why, whats going on!" and that was when they told mommy this "She isn't verry happy with us right now". this is weird mommy thought because none of us have EVER been mean to ANYONE! And let us tell you, when Godiva saw one of the workers, she started growling! she REALLY wasn't happy! But when she saw mommy, she turned into a sweet little mush puppy and once mommy was holding her she let the nice lady pet her!

**NOTE FROM MOM: Lady Godiva's surgery went well and she did not have any seizures during or after her surgery, she was shaking really bad earlier so i called her vet and he told me just to keep her warm and quiet so she and i have been napping together and i keep her wrapped in a blanket with me at all times. Coco Bean is amazing and incredibly instinctive about being careful and delicate with Godiva right now, but Truffle on the other hand just doesn't get it and wants to play bitey face so i am keeping Truffle separate. Coco is being wonderful with keeping Godiva's eyes and nose clean (Godiva's nose has been running and her eyes are goopy from the surgery) and cuddling with Godiva (and I) which seems to help keep Godiva from shaking.

Something's up again...

Hi all!

Somethings going on and me and my sisters are having trouble putting our dewclaw on it. Maybe you can help us out...Today, as soon as mommy got home from work, she let Truffle and Godiva out of the kitchen, got the carrying case out of the closet, put Godiva in it and left. Can you believe that...she didn't even play with us for 5 minutes! The nerve of her for not taking me and Truffle with her!!!

Then she comes back about 45 minutes later she comes back with Lady Godiva and feeds up immediately. Turns out that mommy took Lady Godiva to the vets office so that she could get her annual vaccines. I guess its a good thing we didn't go with mommy! Somethings really are a blessing in disguise!

It's now 8:00PM and mommy said that if we want to drink water we have to do it before 9:00PM because Lady Godiva is not allowed to eat or drink anything after 9;00PM and since we all share a water bowl, there is no way to stop Godiva from drinking water while allowing us to drink water.

Now mommy is saying that we have to go to bed early because she and Lady Godiva have to wake up at 5:30AM because she and Godiva have to be somewhere by 6:00AM.
And mommy keeps saying something about not being able to go through Godiva going through another "heat" and that she has to hurry up because it is going to happen next month. AND mommy said that Godiva is starting to act too aggressive because she is going to be going into "heat" soon so its time for her to have her "big girl surgery".

Now, i ask you...what the heck is a "big girl surgery"!?
Can you help us put our dewclaws on this mystery?

Baftime!!!

Since Coco Bean is feeling much better (and The Girls are starting to smell a little ripe) i decided it was time for them to have a bath. However, since this IS Coco Beans Blog, i will let her take over again. But before i do, i want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all your warm wishes and support. I (and Coco Bean) could not have made it this last week without you all.

Hi ya'll! Its me Coco Bean! I'm back and almost back to my healthy self thanks to you and the Power of the Paw!

Since mommy didnt have any help bathing us, we were unable to take photos of us getting our bath, but mommy WAS able to get photos of us right afterward!

Now, if you haven't noticed, Mommy's bed is very tall and you are probably wondering how we get up onto the bed. Well, Usually Mommy puts a chair next to the bed so we can get up and down easily. But, Mommy moved the chair for a little bit and when mommy turned around, Godiva was on the bed with Truffle and I.Mommy was curious as well as entertained by our after baff shenanigans and i told he i wanted a video of us playing on the bloggy so that you all could see that I and my sisters were doing well and while she was video taping us, (towards the end of the video) you will see Little Lady Godiva amaze us all with something we NEVER thought we would see... Make sure that you watch the video till the end so that you can be amazed too!

There is something that has happened that i really feel should be shared with you all. well, actually there are LOTS of things to share, but i feel that this is a very important one. 4 months ago my mommy's daddy had to take "Chocolate" his chocolate lab to the vet so that he could go to the rainbow bridge. This is a picture of our Grandpa and "Chocolate"
Chocolate was 15 years old and it was his time to go run free at the rainbow bridge with Pasko my mommy's Rottweiler (who's eyes are welled up with tears right now because i mentioned Pasko). Our grandpa was very sad and wanted another dog, but wanted the "right" dog and asked my mommy for help.

Mommy agreed, but told grandpa that it would take some time. Almost 3 months later mommy went to the pet store on a whim to buy us some surprise presents (she does this sometimes) and there happened to be a doggy adoption fair that was being hosted by "Furry Friends Rescue". Mommy thought what the heck, lets see what kind of dogs they have here today and that was when she saw him...His name was "Yasu". He was a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who was 4-5 years old and weighed 12 pounds.Mommy called grandpa and before she could finish the sentence Grandpa was already running to the car to drive 20 miles to where my mommy was to see this little dog. Grandpa FELL IN LOVE with Yasu immediately! There was only one problem; another family had already filled out the application for Yasu one week prior and was supposed to be coming to see him to take him home. the adoption fair was over at 4:30 and they said that if the family did not show up, than Grandpa would be able to have a home inspection on Saturday!

So Grandpa waited with my mommy for three hours...and the family never came. Furry Friends Rescue told my grandpa that they would call him on Sunday to do a home inspection and to meet all the family, and if he passes, than he will be able to adopt Yasu!

All day Sunday grandpa waited and waited and did not get a call until 8:30PM when grandpa's phone made a noise and notified him that he had a voicemail. It was furry Friends Rescue! for some reason grandpa's phone was sending calls straight to voicemail so they had to leave a message but the message had been left in the afternoon and it was too late for an inspection. So they made arrangements to do a home inspection for Monday morning and 30 minutes into the home inspection/interview grandpa was approved to take home Yasu!

But Yasu's adoption family was in the same city as me and my mommy and grandpa lives 20 miles away so Mommy offered to meet grandpa right off the freeway and show him how to get to the house where Yasu was living.

Yasu was very shy and timid. He had been in 4 different foster homes in 3 months. It is very obvious that Yasu's original owners were not good to him, but Yasu has warmed up and recognize that he is now in his forever home. He is amazing to walk on a leash too...he never walks ahead or behind you and stops at every corner and looks up at whomever is walking him for his next direction. He is SUCH a joy to be around. He LOVES me and my sisters and LOVES to be on a humans lap all the time!

Grandpa calls my mommy almost every day since he got Yasu and thanks her for finding him such an amazing dog. Grandpa takes Yasu to work with him every day, and even takes him into business meetings at customers offices! He's practically become the business mascot!

Power Of The Paw

you all have come together to show your support and send me healing vibes so that i get better and it is working. i was able to come home to my mommy on Sunday morning.

I even received healing vibes from a a woman named Tea who i found out today needs our help. you see, her doggy Rich is sick and they need us to send them healing vibes.

So please, I am asking that you stop by her bloggy and show her the same love you all showed me. Lets send Tea and Rich healing vibes so that he gets better. We all know its about Power of the Paw!

Coco The Princess & The Chihuahua Mafia (AKA Truffle and Lady Godiva)

i of course couldnt wait till 10am to call the vet so i called at 9:05am (can you blame me?) i was told that Coco Bean's blood work had come back but i needed to wait to get a hold of the doctor on the phone so that he could go over the results, and she would call me back.

While this was a totally justifiable response, i still had questions, and i just couldn't wait till the doctor was in to have those questions answered. I needed to know how she did last night, did she eat anything, did she pooble or weeble!? Please for the love of ANYTHING tell me SOMETHING! The girl was very kind and told me that Coco Bean had eaten a couple of nibbles of her food, she had in fact weebled and poobled a little bit. I wanted to know if it was a nice firm pooble or was it still bad poobles (am i a mom or what!?). the girl could not tell me though as she did not know that much detail but promised she would call me back.

at 9:59am my phone rang and it was Alta View. I could not have answered the phone faster if there had been a fire under my butt! I was told that Coco Bean's liver values were high and that she has an infection in her intestine. We do not know how Coco Bean got an infection in her little intestine. She had spoken to the vet and he said that if Coco Bean had eaten and ws drinking water, she could go home.

I pulled up in front of Alta View within 15 minutes of getting this call. The girl gave me a copy of the blood work and put the vet on the phone for me. We do not know how Coco Bean got an infection in her intestine. His only guess dates back to when she was a wee little puppy and she was sold to me WAY before she was old enough to be separated from her mother. Coco Beans Mommy was so emaciated that she was not able to breast feed her puppies. puppies get their anti-bodies and immune systems from their mommy's milk. Coco Bean was not so fortunate and never got those anti-bodies cause her mommy wasn't able to feed her puppies. As a result, Coco Bean has a weakened immune system and is susceptible to getting sick easily.

As i waited for them to bring Coco Bean out to me, i looked at the wall of fame and adoptable fur-kidsAnd then it happened...the tech brought my precious little Coco Bean out to me. I was SO happy, i cried. I couldnt help it...i was just SO happy to see my baby, and to see her little perky tail wagging. I paid for her antibiotics and an additional anti nausea injection.

I put my little Precious Coco Bean in my jacket (this is where she LOVES to hang out while we go on outings) and we walked to the car. The whole way to the car i was smothered with Coco Kisses...absolutely SMOTHERED and i couldn't have been happier about it!

Then she gave me that look..you all know the look. The look that says "Mommy can we go home now!?"
You can see in this photo how the sided of her face are a little sunken in from the weight loss. But she is home and happy right now. Truffle and Godiva were SO happy to see her, and Coco Beans tail has not stopped wagging.

Coco Bean has two weeks of antibiotics ahead of her. I have been told to keep a super close eye on her and monitor how much she eats and drinks. This will be easy compaired to how hard the last 24 hours has been.

But i really cant thank you all for all your support. I firmly believe that it was the Power of the Paw that got Coco Bean through last night and brought her home to me.

I will update daily on coco Beans recovery.

Again, from the bottome of my heart, i really cant thank you all enough for sending me the Power of the Paw and keeping me in your prayers and thoughts. I love you all!

I called the vet at 4:05pm and he told me that Coco Bean has not improved and that he needs to keep her overnight.

I was told that i am to call back at 10:00am tomorrow morning.

for two days now Coco Bean has been acting lethargic. today when we got home from breakfast Coco Bean was shivering and still refusing to eat her doggy breakfast just as she did last night with her doggy dinner. I also noticed that she was shedding really bad and her little body was really warm to the touch.So i called her doggy doctor and htey fit us right into their schedule.

the vet came in and took her temperature and it immediately shot up to just over 104 and slowly kept climbing. He took my little Coco Bean away from me and took her into the back room.

She has lost 1/2 a pound in the past 2-3 days which doesnt seem like much, but her a dog her size it is a lot...her little spine was starting to stick out.

He is running blood work and giving her IV fluids. I was told that i can not take her home right now because they want to watch her for the rest of the afternoon.

I know she is in good hands, but i cant help but to sit here at home with tears in my eyes because i know my little Princess is sitting in a cage not understanding why seh isnt in her mommy's arms.

i was todl to call the vet at 4:30 (2 1/2 hours) to see if i can pick her up today.

First off, Mom is TOTALLY on the Pooble list!
She has tried bribing us with Frosty Paws, but were not sure were ready to forgive her for neglecting our Bloggy for so long. She says that she has a good excuse because our Grandma was very sick for a while and she was taking care of Grandma, and also because in he spare time she was making Jewelry for her website, but...me and my sisters are holding our ground...we wanna see how long we can milk all this special treatment.

Grandma is doing MUCH better now and is back to her perky normal self. In face, Grandma has officially adopted Abbie's mommy Princess!And Princess settled right in immediately!
Princess is a GREAT cuddler just like us and Mommy LOVES snuggling Princess! And believe you and me when i tell you that Princess LOVES to be snuggles by EVERYONE!

Me and my sisters LOVE going to Grandma's house and playing with Princess & Abbie...but abter a couple of hours...we get pooped out and then we crash on the sofa for a little while to recharge our doggy batteries...then its back to Romping and Rolling! (Does it look like our mommy just might be an animal lover???)

While at Grandma's Godiva discovered something Grandma call's "Treat Ball". Well, to say the least, Godiva went absolutely WILD about this Treat Ball so Grandma gave it to her.And now she wont share...EVEN WHEN IT'S EMPTY!
Mommy got a new purse...I think I might like it...After all, a Chihuahua like me needs to ride in style... Don't ya think???

Truffle; the wild child who couldn't sit still for more than a few seconds had decided that she is a lap dog and is supposed to be sleeping in mommy's bed with mommy and me!!!

We Did It!!!

Me and my sisters managed to escape the bath time this afternoon!!!

Oour cousin Abbie on the other hand was not so lucky...She shook the water off of herself like a wild woman. And we have the photos to prove it!
Then Abbie let my mommy brush and blow-dry her. Mommy said that Abbie was a REALLY good girl and just stood in one spot while mommy pointed the loud air monster at Abbie. But it made her dry fast. Here are a couple of photos of Abbie after her encounter with the Air Monster...It made her super fluffy! After Abbie's bath, she turned into a wild woman and was absolutely determined more than ever to Romp and Roll and play tug of war with my favorite Teddy Bear...let me tell you, there was some serious tug of war right after this pic was taken!

Friday Playdate!

This morning my mommy got a phone call from our Grandma. Apparently, our cousin Abbie was being quite the wild child and Grandma was having trouble working, So our mommy went and picked up Abbie and brought her home to play with us for the day! Here are how our Play Date got started:

Before mommy let us out of the kitchen, she let Abbie familiarize herself with our home. Abbie did a thorough inspection of our bed time cratesThen she checked our chair next to our crates where we hang out when we are feeling lazyThen, mommy let us loose! Abbie was quite surprised when all three of us came bounding out of the kitchen...But look at how happy Coco Bean was to to see Abbie!
Playing in the kitchen. You can tell Truffle and Godiva were ready to romp and roll!Here are two short videos of us playing.

Since it is Friday, our mommy is going to give Abbie a bath before she takes her home to Grandma...I hope that doesn't mean that me and my sisters are going to get baths too.

Gotcha Day!

Exactly one year ago today (April 15th 2009) I brought Truffle and Godiva home for my birthday!

To celebrate this special day, i thought it would be nice to share some of their baby photos of that very day!

I couldn't love them any more than they love each other. These three little angels of mine are the reason that today, my XXth (Oops! I almost told you my age!) birthday, I consider myself truly blessed. After all, without them, i wouldn't have met all of you!

Lock Down...

Yep, you read correct, Truffle has been quarantined by our mommy!!! And we mean quarantined BIG way!!!Lately, Mommy has been working REALLY hard to socialize Truffle. She is such a bundle of nerves we have been taking her to the doggy park near our home when we cant go to the really nice one because the nice one is almost 20 miles from home.

Anyway, Last night around 3:30pm, Truffle started coughing this REALLY nasty dry cough, and she started hacking and trying to throw up from coughing so hard. So, mommy took her temperature and it was only 101.8 but this morning, Truffle's temperature was 104.2 and you could feel and hear a rattle in her chest when she breathed...so off to the vet we went only to find out that Truffle has Kennel Cough.

The vet gave Truffle two emergency injections to reduce the swelling so she can breath easier and without struggling, and the second injection of super strong antibiotics. Mommy is keeping a humidifier next to the doggy play pen and that seems to be helping Truffle a little. So, Truffle is in the doggy play pen (A.K.A. Doggy Jail), on two different antibiotics, drinking PediaLite, and on a bland diet of chicken & rice.In the mean time, mommy has been going OCD crazy washing everything in the washing machine with 3/4 cup of bleach in each load.

The vet said that if the coughing doesn't stop within 2 days that she has to go back to chest x-rays because he said that it could possibly turn into Pneumonia...SCARY!!!

Please keep your dewclaws crossed and keep us in your prayers that our sister Truffle gets better soon...Mommy wont let us help her be nurses to Truffle so we sleep outside the bedroom door tonight in the living room just in case mommy needs our help. Coco The Princess received a response from her Prince Dobby. While Coco is incredibly excited to share the good news with you all, as well as a couple of awards that we have received, the good news and awards will have to wait another day or so because taking care of Truffle's health and making sure that Coco and Godiva don't catch this horrible bug that Truffle has is my top priority right now. Please bare with me for a day or so. The Girls and i really miss you all so much. I wish i could update more right now, but i am going to go hold Truffle so she can feel safe asleep in my arms tonight.

Today Lady Godiva & Truffle turn One Year Old!!!

Lady Godiva and i would like to thank all of you for welcoming us to our big sister Coco The Princess's bloggy. It has been such a fun filled and exciting year getting to know all of you. Valentines Date Update!

OMD i had such an amazing time with Dobby! My sisters and mommy helped me pick out a special Valentines dress at the store and they helped me get ready.
Mommy said that since the dress already had a matching pink pearl necklace that i didn't need to accessorize with any diamonds. I thought that since I'm a big girl now and i wanted to wear some makeup but mommy said that i had natural beauty and that if i wanted to wear makeup, that the only thing i would be needing is some of her favorite strawberry lip gloss because it gives lips a nice shinny kissable gloss and it makes them super soft too. So, mommy put some lip gloss on me and it did all those things, but what mommy didn't tell me is that it tasted like strawberry's too!
Ok, so how do i look now with my big girl lip gloss?It was getting close to my Date time, so i made sure that i kept one ear super alert so that i could hear for Prince Dobby's scratch at my front door:Although i had to admit that i was a little nervous because i had a really important question that i wanted to ask Prince Dobby while we were out on our date. I kept checking my dress to make sure it was fitting perfect and i kept checking my lipstick...Here is a picture of me being nervous while my nail pawlish dried:Mommy told me that it would be a good idea for me to wait in the living room in one of my super comfy pink princess beds while i wait for Dobby. At this point, i was REALLY nervous because all i cold think about was my important question for Dobby and the anticipation of what he would say. Then it happened...I hear the scratch at my front door..."Oh my gosh Dobby is here. Mommy, Do i look ok? is he going to think i look pretty?"Dobby looked so sexy in his little bow-tie. He was such a gentleman! he picked me up in a horse and chariot like the one from Cindarella and we went on a tour of a beautiful mansion in Belmont called "Ralston Hall". Ralston Hall was filled with real crystal chandelier's, a beautiful ball room with floor to ceiling mirrors that were imported from Italy by boat back in the 1800's, sterling silver door hinges, and a full Orchestra that Dobby had hired. In the back corner, there was a beautifully decorated table where we sat and had dinner and desert brought to us by a chef from france. We talked, laughed, and danced the night away.

Shortly before sunrise, We went on a tour of the grounds. We had heard that there are a few families of deer that live on the grounds and if we went out in the early morning we would be able to see them. So, we took a chariot ride around the grounds and guess what we saw...A FAMILY OF DEER!
After our tour of the grounds, Dobby took me home. Let me tell you...I was beyond tuckered out!
As for the question that i wanted to ask Dobby while i was out on our date...i totally chickened out! And i know that i said i was going to post it on my page, but i just can't...so...I went out and picked out a card, and i wrote Dobby a special note in it....and in that note, is the special question...Hopefully, he will post the response i am hoping for on his bloggy.

Luckiest Girl inthe WORLD

My Prince Dobby formally asked me out on a date for Valentines Day!
My mommy told me that Because Dobby was SO good to me last year and he was such a perfect little gentleman that i no longer need my mommy's permission if i want to go out with him! How perfect is that...My dream date with my dream man Dobby!!!!

As for my sisters...They are still...

They both have a crush on someone but are too shy to say who they like. Everyone in our house including our Grandma's house think That our friend Brind'Amour is simply BEAUTIFUL but i don't know for sure who these boys are that they like because they wont tell me.

All that Truffle and Lady Godiva will say is that they are going to wait for their boys to ask them. So, if you are a boy and you are single and you are interested in my sisters, will you please come forward so that my sisters can have a chance at puppy love!?

For those of you who dont know Brind'Amour...he is the most dreamiest Clumber Spaniel my mommy has ever laid her eyes on! On top of being beautiful, he is:

FOR MY BIG DATE WITH DOBBY!!!

As you all know, Dobby is quite the looker and is in perfect shape.

So i have to be SUPER ready for Dobby. I told my mommy that i only have two more days to get into shape for my big date. You know us Chihuahua's are supposed to have a very defined little waist so i needed to get to exercising! So mommy told me that she would take me for a walk! I was so excited, she could barely keep up with me...as you can see from this picture, even the camera couldnt keep up wit me either:
Checked some pee-mail:
Ran some more:Checked another pee-mail...this one was important but i was really busy so i left a quick response as you can see from this photo as did what my mommy calls "weeble while i walk" or a "run by weeble". I even lifted my leg for this one...i know, i know...not very Princess like, but a girl has to do what a girl has to do!

I was so caught up in the moment and with all that exercise...well, we all know what a good walkie will do to us...so i had to handle some business before i could run some more:
Damn Paparazzi (AKA Mommy) But don't worry my furry friends...the Paparazzi cleaned up after me! BOL!!!

When i got home, mommy cleaned my paws (she does this to me and my sisters any time we walk outside) and then i got my paws massaged with a special doggy massage balm for doggy feet to keep my puppy pads particularly soft (my feet don't have a single rough spot on them. they still feel as soft as a new born puppy)

Dobby sent me a message saying that he is going to have something special for me on Valentines day...maybe, i'll get super lucky and our date will end with some Dobby Lovin'All that exercise was a lot of work so i'm curled up in mommy's jacket dictating this bloggy entry to her..i am just so pooped out! I'm going to go to sleep early tonight so i can exercisse bright and early tomorrow!

My Prince Dobby agreed to be my Valentine this year! I really couldn't be any happier...i mean, who could when a Prince like Dobby agrees to be your Valentine!
My little heart is all a flutter with the excitement! Maybe one day my sisters will be as lucky as me!
