The Fish Tank!

Mommy got a fish tank for Christmas! My mommy used to have a 100 gallon fish tank but when she moved out on her own she had to get rid of it which made her very sad because she used to have a beautiful fish called a Black Arowana who was three feet long!

So, for Christmas my mommy got a fish tank and although it is only a 20 gallon, mommy has already put some REALLY pretty fish in it. We plan on saving up and getting another 100 gallon fish tank because these fishies that mommy got are going to get really big! Truffle and I LOVE sitting on the sofa or on the floor right in front of the fish tank and watching the fishies with mommy. Our favorite time is feeding time because there is so much action in that little tank.

I wanted to share our new friends with all of you because i know that you will all enjoy their beauty as much as my mommy does.

This is the fish tank:This is one of the two Silver Tip Cat Fish and behind him you can see one of the two Rainbow Sharks:This is the Glass Cat Fish:This is one of the two Rose Line Sharks and behind him you can see mommy's two stripie fish who we call AWOL 1 & 2:

This is the Peacock Eel. He is a very delicate and shy fish and spends most of his time hiding under the gravel or under an ornament that he has dug a tunnel under. He usually only comes out when the fish tank light is turned off and mommy has put food in the tank:Here you can see both the Rose Line Sharks and behind them you can see both AWOL 1 & 2:This little guy is REALLY cute. He is called a Birchir. He is a total character and uses his front fins to rop himself up like little arms!:
This is the Needle Nose Gar:And this is a Silver Arowana who was purchased for my mommy to replace the Black Arowana that mommy used to have. We are all REALLY excited to watch him grow and cant wait till he gets REALLY big so we make sure he eats a balanced meal just like mommy does for us!

Lately, we have enjoyed sleeping in with mommy and all of the yummy treats that come with obedience training. Tonight, we got a bean bag bed that is really made for just one dogy, but Godiva doesnt cate and has managed to make it a two dog bed. It's a good thing that Truffle doesn't mind sharing!I hope you all enjoyed meeting the fishies in our new fishie tank.

Three Chi's in a blanket!

Actually, More like Mommy's bed!

Here you see Lady Godiva in her usual "rub my belly" positionTruffle checking on the comotion on top of the blankets to make sure she isn't missing out on any foodMommy knows it's time for bed wen Lady Godiva starts rubbing her face like this (she's even been so tired a few times that she has fallen asleep with her paws over her nose):Truffle is a total bed hog! She spends the entire night pushing mommy all over the bed! But she's so cute and soft like velvet that mommy doesn't mind. This is the look that Lady Godiva gives mommy when she tells her "ok Godiva, time to get in your bed". You can totally tell that Godiva is saying to mommy "Do i have to mommy? I'm really cute and i promise i wont go peepee in the bed, and i promise i wont fall off the bed too"
Truth is though, that mommy is so worried about her falling out of the bed or trying to jump off becaue the bed is really high and mommy is terrified that we will get hurt. So, we sleep safely in our crates. Sometimes when i get up in the middle of the night to go potty, after i handle my business, i go to the side of mommy's bed and i grunt and whine at her because i want to sleep with her. Sometimes she will pick me up into the bed and i settle down immediately under the covers right next to mommy. Mommy tells me that i am the perfect snuggle dog because i don't try to play, i know that the bed is for sleeping, and sleeping with mommy is one of my favorite things to do. After all, I am Coco The Princess and i believe that i should be in the bed with my mommy! Don't you agree?
I hope you enjoyed the photos of me and my sisters snuggling in mommy's bed!

New Years is a time to reflect on our past, and more importantly, look forward to the changes we want to make in the coming year. Since Oour humans get to do this...My sisters and i think that we dogs hsould be able do it too!

The American Kennel Club® (AKC), the dog's champion, reflects on some resolutions that us dogs might have for the year 2010:

10. Owner on floor, dog in bed.

9. Stop begging and actually get a seat at the dinner table.

8. Give up the dream of ever catching my tail.

7. Bark like a big dog but still get cuddled on lap like a little dog.

6. Get back at cat for litter box incident.

5. Find every bone I ever buried.

4. No more haircuts! (Come fall, I can go as Komondor for Halloween).

3. Become alpha dog in my house. Well, at least stop letting the cat push me around.

2. Invent goggles that allow me to see the electric fence.

1. Finally pass that darn AKC Canine Good Citizen test.

...but i have an idea that is even better than this...I want to hear from YOU fellow blogers on what YOUR 2010 resolutions are! Lets compile a list of our own! A 2010 Dog/Cat/Hamster resolution list that WE have written We have a voice...Let it be heard!!!

This is what me and my sisters resolutions are:

Coco The Princess - Find my inner alfa and stand up to my sisters when I dont want to share a bone/toy or my bed (which they know they are not supposed to be ing)

Truffle - To learn to be patient when mommy does my obedience training

Lady Godiva - Learn that going PeePee on the kitchen floor is not the same as going PeePee on the pad two feet away.

I cant wait to hear what your resolutions are!

Nurse Coco To the Rescue!

Hi everyone!
I'm going to have to make this a quick update because we have to wake mommy up to take her NyQuil soon.
My sisters and i have missed you all so much but right now we are very busy with a very important job of playing nurse to our mommy. she has been fighting a soar throat for a few days now and we want to make sure that she is feeling better for work on Monday.

Coco has the very important role of bed warmer/snuggler.Lady Godiva & Truffle are being really good watch dogs. They bark (even though they are not supposed to) when anyone comes to the door. Truffle especially is being really good at jumping on and off the bed and keeping mommy from sleeping too much. Often she wakes up mommy by trying to suck on her ears (mommy doesn't like it like Godiva and i do). But At lease Truffle tries. It isn't her fault she isn't a natural born nurse like me!You can see how attentive Godiva and Truffle are being to mommy's every movement! Isn't that cute of them!

I managed to snag a photo of my mommy and our cousin Abbie on Christmas!
And here is a photo of Abbie wishing you all a Merry ChristmasI better get back to tending to mommy before she find out that i was blogging without her..Maybe I'll take a quick nap too...Tail Wiggles & Puppy Kisses,
