Puppy-proof testing the house

Last night Mommy took me and my sisters on a suprise trip to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandma and Grandpa are picking up their puppy Abby this coming Saturday and they had puppy proofed their house. Mommy and Grnadma thought it would be a good idea for me and my sisters to test the house out to make sure that they did a good job.

We were good girls on the way to Grandma & Grandpa's house

When we got there, there was a lot of work for us to do.

  • We had to make sure that the dear netting that they put on the railings was secure so that it was puppy proof

  • We had to check the fencing that was put up on the top balcony to make sure that it was puppy proof

  • We had to check the doggy gates at the top and bottom of each set of stares to make sure that they are puppy proof

  • We had to bark at Grandpa a lot to make sure that he got used to the barking. Godiva even chased Grandpa down the hall barking at him!

Grandma of course spoiled us with doggy cookies and Grandpa spoiled us with lots of hugs and wrastles. Grandma was especially nice to let us play with a toy that belonged to her and my mommy's Cocler spaniel whom went to the Rainbow Bridge at the begining of June of this year. Mommy didnt want to let me play with it, but grandma said that it was ok because she said that she knew i would be gentle with it... and of course i was.

When we got home my sisters were pooped out so they totally went to bed and crashed

Mommy told me that it was time for me to go to bed and like a good girl i got right into my bed with my favorite stuffie

But i wasnt ready to go to sleep... So i gave my mommy my good girl face and asked nicely if i could stay up a little longer...
I already knew what i wanted to do now that my sisters were in bed and i had some alone time...and what i wanted was right over there...
It was the bone that Grandma snuck into mommy's take home bag!
Mommy says that i went wild-eyed over this bone! I dot think so...I think that i went BEAST on it!
I have read Stanislaw & Big Pupi's blog many times about their feasting...and i tried my darndest to channel my inner beast onto this bone! Here are the pictures to prove it:

Mommy doesnt know what got into me or what was so speical about this bone because i have never shown interest in these kind of bones before...but this one was dew-claw licking good! THANKS GRANDMA!

I love and miss you all and will be visiting your bloggies really soon!

This saturday i will be posting again about my new little cousin that is coming home!

Hi Coco,

It was very nice of you girls to check over the house so Abby doesn't get hurt. We can't wait to meet her.

You sure did a terrific job on that bone!

Hi Coco and Sisters,

My goodness it looks like you girls were all very busy helping out your grandparents. Good girls! Very nice of you and your Mommy.

Ah, Princess Coco? Ah, really now, do you think it was wise to show your subjects your "dark side" by furiously ravishing that rawhide? No, I think not. Remember, you are a Princess and think of all of your pupjects that look up to you! So Please my beautiful Princess, try to control yourself from now on infront of the camera. OK?

Hugs, Tessa

ps, did the rawhide really taste that good????

Princess Coco...very good that you put the paws of approval on the puppy proofing...must assure that the new cousin stays out of trouble. The Grandma bone looked very yummy and you did a great job on it. Staying up late is a big sister privilege, you earned it.

Wags and Sniffs,
Draco
