By the time i woke up from my nap, i was having an alergic reaction to the vaccines again and i was itchy all over , and i couldnt stop itching, so mommy gave me some baby benadryl and my itching went away. Believe it or not, there is always a benefit to going to the vets, and that is : My mommy always feels sorry for me because she knows how much those little needles hurt when i get my vaccines, so she ALWAYS takes me to the pet store and buys me toys and treats to make it upto me formaking me go. Now, tell me i dont have my mommy well trained! So, here is a photo of me and this "KONG" thing that my mommy bought me. it is super good because it has this magical peanut butter in it that just lasts for ever and ever and ever!
Then, today i had my first play date with Tobi! Here is a photo of my mommy holding me and Tobi next to each other.
He is a super hyper little pomeranian who i was scared of at first, but once i got used to him, he was Super Duper Fun to play with! Here are some photos of me and Tobi Playing. 
And Here is Tobi playing bitey my back leg while i tried to play pitey with his tail!
I had such a wonderful time today with Tobi! I cant wait till our next play date!

Toby is a cute fluffy thing (but you are a chihuahua and therefore BEAUTIFUL!! I had an allergic reaction to my shots too and it caused me to lose all the fur where the shots went in! Now I have to get another shot with the vaccine to keep that from happening again. I was so sick and little when I had the reaction my mom was afraid I was gonna die!

I didn't get itchy, I hurt! If my mom touched me I screamed. I couldn't even move. Then, like I said, 2 weeks later my fur fell out and never grew back in. If you look at my pictures you'll see what I mean. I even posted about it a long time ago. Now the vet gives me another shot with the vaccines to make sure I don't have a reaction - it may be benedryl but I'm not sure. My mom is actually afraid to get me vaccinated. I am due and she keeps putting if off. Though I have had one set since the set that made me sick. I think I was too small to get so many shots at once (there were 2). It is scary! I hope you feel better today!

sister works at a vet, and said, your mom should ask for a baby needle! it'll make your hiney feel better next time. And those rabies shots do hurt sometimes, and make sure you tell your dr. about the itchy reaction. Maybe next time they can give you a shot of benadryl, so that it'll counteract those itchies!

Hi Coco! I saw your question on Dobby's site. Will you please tell your mommie that Dobby is about 5 pounds? I rescued him from a group near Charlotte NC, but there is a great nation-wide Chihuahua Rescue you can find here:

The smaller chihuahuas are, the more health problems they can have though, so it's a balancing act to pick one. I'd love to rescue Dobby a little sister or brother, too, but he might get jealous of sharing my attention with somebody else!

Sister is very much for the Microchipping- both of her cats are microchipped. She's seen a few animals returned thanks to the fact that they had them! cats & dogs! i am not microchipped because mom does not like them.
We've seen dogs get out of their yards, and nice people have brought them in saying 'i found this dog on my road!' and we scan them, and say oh! look! we can call the microchip place!
Also, they might ask you about pre- anesthetic bloodwork. This is something thats important to think about! Its to make sure all of your little organs are working correctly before you go under the anesthesia! We ALL had that done prior to surgery.
It also helps if you ever get sick- because the doctors can notice even the slightest change in your bloodwork! They will have normal levels to go by. So if you have to pick one, i suggest the bloodwork! you can always get chipped at a later date!
